These living guides to the city field hundreds of questions each day, but took some time out to party with the staff of Cityguide at Ghiradelli Square. Guests were chauffeured in on Bauer’s buses, and the progressive party started at Fairmont Heritage Place with champagne. Then, ushered along by whimsical characters from Velocity Circus, guests moved to the delightful Crown & Crumpet tea salon for tea and tasty bite-size snacks, and wound up on the dramatic view deck of the hotel overlooking San Francisco Bay and Alcatraz and complemented with delicious bites and drinks from McCormick & Kuleto’s, Kara’s Cupcakes, Ghiradelli Chocolate Company, and Wattle Creek Winery’s tasting room. After watching the sun set, backed by James Whiton’s music, the crowd kicked back at Ana Mandara with drinks and appetizers.
