Enrico's on the run

By Scott Hocker

Having already enjoyed what seem like more lives than an alley cat, Enrico’s in North Beach has yet another incarnation: a takeout counter. In addition to the recently reopened dining room, what used to be a prep area with windows facing Broadway is now offering a concise, wallet-friendly menu that includes slices of pizza for around $4, including a breakfast-leaning ham, gruyère, and egg version. The restaurant’s famous two-ounce sliders go for $2 a pop (50 cents extra for pepper jack cheese). A pair adds up to a perfect lunch at a perfect price. 504 Broadway, S.F., 415-982-6223, enricossf.com
