Jessica Bodner lives to light things up. On view by appointment at Bodner Chandeliers, her eclectic custom designs are rendered in the standard iron, glass, and crystal, but she also uses beads, mirrors, paper, and even toys. "I am hoping to broaden the way people perceive chandeliers," Bodner says. She draws inspiration from the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the bugs in her garden, constellations, and the woods of McClaren Park. The pieces, which start at $850, hang everywhere from Woodside homes to the Embarcadero's Hotel Vitale. 1660 Jerrold Ave., S.F., (415) 641-1139, www.bloominglites.com.
