| Walt Disney Family Museum opens Oct 1 | September 26, 2009 |
| 09.23.09 - San Francisco, CA -- The Presidio, a former Army base, now hosts The Walt Disney Family Museum (WaltDisney.org on 140 Montgomery. The significant of the museum opening October 1 is almost a tradition. After all, Walt Disney World in Orlando opened on said dates in 1971 and Epcot opened 11 years later in 1982 on Oct 1. I used to work for WDW for 5 yrs, I know a lot of random Disney facts. Shown is one of the galleries that show cases the story board of Steamboat Willie, Mickey Mouse's first film and the release date of the movie is used as Mickey's birthday, November 18, 1928. | |
